NextWealth analysis

Dynamic Planner is a risk profiling and asset allocation software provider. Despite hitting a few bumps in the road this year, Dynamic Planner is by far the most used provider of risk profiling tools, used by 30% of financial planners according to NextWealth data. The firm has been busy with integrations - announcing three since the start of the year. Dynamic Planner's contract with Simply Biz expired this year but it does not seem to have dented user numbers. Dynamic Planner has 10x as many users compared with Defaqto (Simply Biz's new risk profiling partner). But Dynamic Planner users rate it only average compared with other risk profiling tools. Among the 114 financial planners that rated Dynamic Planner in a recent NextWealth survey, the risk profiling tool got a score of 7.3 out of 10 compared to an average score of 7.2 for willingness to recommend to colleagues. While average is okay, we suspect it's not good enough for Dynamic Planner boss Ben Goss.
